Marvin A. Kraus was born Aug. 17, 1911 to August Henry and Earana Irene Herchert Kraus. He died July 5, 1944 and is buried in Pioneer Rock Cemetery, Ceres, IA. He was originally buried in Blosville, France; reinterred at Ceres Apr. 1948.
Pvt. Kraus served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was KIA in the invasion of Normandy, France and was awarded the Purple Heart.
