William James Knowlen was born Mar. 4, 1919 to James Delbert Knowlen and Olive May Hough Bogart. He died June 8, 1944 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Floyd, IA.
Pvt. Knowlen served with the U.S. Army C Battery, 60th Coast Artillery Regiment (Anti-Aircraft) and became a POW and died in a Japanese prison camp.
