Paul Allen Kinney was born June 6, 1923 to Don A. and Florence Winona Spooner Kinney. He died May 16, 1945 and was initially buried with his fallen comrades in the American military cemetery on Tinian Island; later in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Lt. Kinney served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 444th Bomb Group, 677th Bomb Squadron and was KIA on Tinian Island in the Marianas Group as his plane was returning to base.
