Francis Duane ‘Duane’ Kiesecker was born June 25, 1923 to Leroy Charles and Kathryn ‘Katie’ Conklin Kiesecker. He died May 11, 1985 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Sgt. Kiesecker served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a tail gunner on a heavy bomber with the 15th Air Force. He holds the air medal and several clusters for completing 35 missions. He was also awarded the Distinguished Unit Badge.
