Iowa Honor Roll

These Iowans have given their lives for their country. Each man pictured here has been killed in combat or has died in a prison camp. This group includes the five Sullivan brothers of Waterloo, who went down with the Juneau. The fourth line under each picture indicates the area in which the man last served. Further Honor Roll photographs will be carried here later.

Thomas Franklin Kenny, Jr. was born Oct. 2, 1917 to Thomas F. (Sr.) and Louise Gertrude Cruise Kenny. He died July 5, 1943 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Lt. Kenny served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was killed as the result of a plane crash in the performance of his duty and in the service of his country in the Solomons in the South Pacific.
