Kenneth Otto Kelting was born May 28, 1922 to Otto Ferdinand and Elizabeth Mary Kluck Kelting. He died Dec. 23, 2001 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery, Williams, IA.
First Lieutenant Kelting was a platoon leader with the 7th infantry division on Leyte, Philippine Islands, and Okinawa. He received the Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, and the Presidential Unit Citation.
