Edwin Louis ‘Sonny’ Keller was born Feb. 19, 1927 to Louis Gerald and Evelyn La Vina Green Keller. He died June 14, 1994 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Pvt. Keller served with the U.S. Army in World War II, being stationed in Japan with the Military Police.

EDWIN "SONNY" KELLER, 67, Webster City, died Tuesday, June 14, 1994, at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home, with burial in the Graceland Cemetery. Graveside services by American Legion Post #191. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday until time of service.

Edwin Louis Keller, the son of Louis G. and Evelyn (Green) Keller, was born February 19, 1927, at Estherville, Iowa. He attended schools in Estherville and at the age of 16 moved to webster City with his family.

Mr. Keller was employed at Lambert Lumber Company in Webster City. In 1944 he joined the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Japan with the Military Police and continued in the Army until 1946.

On Nov. 17, 1946, he married Junella Asklund at Boxholm, Iowa. The couple resided in Webster City, where Mr. Keller worked in the area as a masonry concrete contractor until retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Jon Keller, Council Bluffs, Terry Keller, Webster City, Michael Keller, Russellville, Ark., and Lonnie Keller, Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Robert Keller, Mary Lou Hilpipre, Shirley Price, Dale Keller, all of Webster City, William Keller, Watsonville, Calif. and Darlene Beightol, Rockford, Minn.; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two, sisters, Rose Marie Reetz and Dorothy Smith.

Mr. Keller was a member of the Church of Christ in webster City, the VFW in Fort Dodge and a former member of the American Legion Post #191.
