Cecil Dean ‘Bill’ Keigan was born July 27, 1915 to Benjamin and Ina Allen Keigan. He died Mar. 20, 2000 and is buried in Cass Center Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Pvt. Keigan served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Cecil D. “Bill” Keigan, 84, died Thursday, March 20, 2000 in Holstein Good Samaritan Center following a brief illness. Funeral services were Monday at the Webster City Church of Christ with Rev. Ray Artrip officiating. Burial was in the Cass Center Cemetery in Webster City. Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee was in charge of arrangements.

He was born July 27, 1915 in Mahaska, KS, the son of Ira and Ina Allen Williamson. He attended area schools and graduated from Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II as an engineer. Following his military service, he worked as an insurance adjustor for Continental Western for many years. He was married to Luella Goodrich. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion Rainbow Post in Council Bluffs.

Survivors are his twin sons and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sharon Keigan of Webster City, Roger Keigan of Plainfield, a daughter, Darlene Pybas, Hattiesburg, MS., two sisters, Linda Ades of Cherokee, Shirley Edwards of Watkins, MN; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, special friend Ann Blackburn, Council Bluffs.
