Melvin Oluf Jorgensen was born Oct. 15, 1920 to Soren Oluf and Maggie Fern Marlow Jorgensen. He died Oct. 2, 1943 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Guthrie Center, IA.
Capt. Jorgensen served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. K, 133rd Infantry, 34th Division and was KIA in Italy.
