Mervin Milford “Milford” Johnson was born Sept. 2, 1910 to Oscar and Evelyna E. Braland Johnson. He died Feb. 27, 1945 and is buried in Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong, IA.
Pvt. Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 63rd Infantry and was KIA in the Philippines and was awarded the Purple Heart.
