John Vernon Johnson was born Aug. 20, 1921 to Gustaf A. and Hilma K. Alander Johnson. He died Jan. 8, 2006 and is buried in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, IA.
Pvt. Johnson served with the U.S. Army Troop C, 8th Cavalry in World War II.
