Burlen Gaylord Johnson was born Oct. 28, 1915 to Anthon Gustav and Hattie May Hendrickson Johnson. He died July 19, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was captured by the Japanese after the fall of Corregidor, Philippine Islands. He died while in captivity.
