Herbert Alvin Otto Iberg aka Iburg was born June 24, 1922 to Henry J. and Linda M. M. Kuddes Iberg. He died Oct. 27, 1944 and was buried at sea. He has a cenotaph in Saint Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg, IA.
Sgt. Iberg served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died of wounds received in action in the invasion of Leyte.
