Pvt. Gerrit Robert Hulstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Hulstein entered the service November 3, 1943. He received his basic training at Camp Roberts, Calif. He has had one furlough in March. Gerrit Robert is in the Field Artillery and at present is stationed in New Guinea. Call us for his address, as he has just moved to a new location in New Guinea.

Gerrit Robert Hulstein, SN 37486729, was born on Sept. 13, 1922, at Sioux Center, Iowa, which was where he was residing prior to entering the army on Nov. 3, 1943, at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. He served with the 51st Field Artillery Battalion, left for foreign service on May 27, 1944, returned on Feb. 11, 1946, and was honorably discharged on Feb. 17, 1946. His application for bonus pay was filed on May 20, 1949, for which he received $340.00.
