Robert William Higdon was born Oct. 25, 1925 to Harold Dewey and Mae M. Songer Higdon. He died July 18, 1945 and is buried in Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Cpl. Higdon served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 768th Bomb Squadron and was killed in an aircraft accident on Tinian Island, Marianas Islands while in the service of his country.
