Dorrence Laverne Heston was born Dec. 4, 1918 to Emil Merle and Nora Belle Shirkey Heston. He died Nov. 6, 1943 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA.
Sgt. Heston served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry, 34th Infantry Division Medical Detachment and died of wounds received in action in Italy.
