Sgt. Dwight Anton Heike

 

 

 

Dwight Anton Heike AKA Bud Castor, was born Mar. 23, 1918 to Henry C. and Sophia Mae Schnedecker Heike. He was the step-son of Ivar Castor. He died Sept. 7, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. 

Sgt. Heike served in World War II with the U.S. Army 803rd Tank Destroyer Battalion and was MIA/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
