Orange City, Iowa
– C.M. Haverkamp, 21, of Orange City, received his wings and a commission as a navigator at Mather field, California. He is now stationed at Pyote, Texas. A brother is in officers training at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Our Neighbors in the Service

Orange City, Iowa – Mr. and Mrs. George Haverkamp of Orange City received a telegram from the war department informing them that their son, Lieut. Clifford Haverkamp, is a prisoner of the German government. Haverkamp was a navigator on a B-17 bomber and had been reported missing in action on August 17. He received his wings and commission in February, 1943, at Mather field, Colorado and left for England the last of May. He has a brother, Lieut. G.E. Haverkamp, at Gowen field, Boise, Idaho.
