John M. Hansen was born Nov. 30, 1823 to John Christian and Agnes Munch Hansen. He died Dec. 25, 1943 and has a cenotaph in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Pvt. Hansen served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 411th Bomb Squadron, 29th Bomb Group and died in an airplane accident near Boise, Idaho while on a training flight from Gowen Army Airfield.
