Harold Homer Hudson was born Feb. 24, 1924 to Joseph Homer and Ethel Irene Kepler Hudson. He died May 6, 1956 and is buried in Cass Center Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Harold served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Harold Hudson Dies Suddenly

Harold H. Hudson, 32, formerly of Webster City, died suddenly Sunday at Minneapolis, Minn. where he had been employed as a salesman the past year.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. M. V. Chastain officiating and with burial in Cass Center cemetery.

Harold Homer Hudson, son of Joseph and Ethel Hudson, was born Feb. 24, 1924, on a farm north of Webster City. He was reared and educated in this community and attended the Webster City schools.

He entered the service during World War II and served from 1942 until 1945, seeing action near Iowa Jima and suffering wounds in action.

He was united in marriage to Marianna Jannette Sept. 9, 1953, and the couple lived in Des Moines,

He is survived by his wife; his parents; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Howard (Marcelyn) Lake of Webster City, Mrs. Claude (Etheldra) Willson, Webster City; Joseph and Howard Dean Hudson, both of this city, and his grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Kepler; several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion.

A friendly, generous man, he will be greatly missed both by his immediate family and his many friends.
