Darrell Wynne Hoover, 67, Webster City, died Feb. 2, 1995 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. The body was cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date. Dunn’s Funeral Home in Des Moines was in charge of arrangements.

Darrell Wynne Hoover, son of Harry and Faye (Miller) Hoover, was born May 27, 1927. He was raised in West Bend, where he graduated from high school in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army after World War II, serving in occupational Japan. On May 29, 1948, he married Patricia McCollough at Iowa Falls. He lived most of his life in Webster City, farming south of Webster City.

He is survived by his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Sue of Webster City; daughters and sons-in-law Shauna and Scott Davidson of Chicago, Ill. and Jennie and Andy Neuhring of Webster City; sister, Darlene Youlden of Cape Coral, Fla.; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Hoover and Jewel and Alex Neuhring.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. Memorials may be made to the Ruan Neurological Center with Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
