Lawrence Wallace Holtzman was born Apr. 23, 1917 to Kenneth Raymond and Stella A. Luce Holtzman. He died June 15, 1945 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten, Netherlands.
Cpl. Holtzman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Battery B, 381st Field Artillery Battalion and died in Frottstadt, Germany as a result of injuries received when struck by a train. He was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in Germany in connection with military operations against the enemy. He was also awarded the Purple Heart.
