Richard A. Heiar was born Sept. 22, 1923 to Nicholas and Clara E. Heiar. He died Sept. 28, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
Pvt. Heiar served in World War II with the U.S. Army 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Division, Co. A and was KIA in Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
