Robert Harold Harris was born June 6, 1919 to Ilo C. and Mary Kathryn ’Kathryn’ Pearce Harris. He died Oct. 1, 1993 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Pvt. Harris served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Son of Ilo & Kathryn (Pearce) Harris. On June 9, 1938, he married Helen V. Gordon in Webster City. He attended Webster City schools. He served in U.S.Army during WWII. He worked for McCollough's Foundry, 18 years, Morton Frozen Foods, 12 years, City of Webster, 10 years, retiring in 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Rochelle Harris, Mitchellville; daughter & son-in-law, Jackie & Miles Butler, Webster City; grandchildren, Jodie Cue, Matthew Butler, and Lenette Strand; two g-grandchildren; brothers, Don Harris, Cheyenne, Wyo and Merle "Cotton" Harris, Boone; sisters, Dorothy Hart, Omaha, Neb. and Rosemarie McNamer, Webster City; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Robbie Harrie; brother, Charles Harris; and sister, Helen Gage.
