William Austin Harper, Jr. was born Jan. 13, 1920 to William A. (Sr.) and Ruby J. Ham Harper. He died Dec. 3, 1944 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten, Netherlands.
Pvt. Harper served in World War II with the U.S. Army 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division and was KIA in Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
