Carl Herbert Hanson was born Aug. 4, 1916 to Clarence Ben and Elsie Nelson Hanson. He died Oct. 21, 1943 and is buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ruthven, IA.
Pvt. Hanson served in World War II with the U.S. Army in North Africa and took part in the Tunisian campaign and the battle for Sicily, and then went into action in Italy where he was KIA near Alife, Italy.
