Orville L. Hammitt was born Jan. 10, 1927 to Owen Elmer and Sylvia Pearl Goodrich Hammitt. He died Oct. 6, 2004 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Pvt. Hammitt served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
