Pvt. JOHN HALL AMONG WOUNDED IN FRENCH ZONE
Pvt. John Hall of this city was wounded early in August in the French battle theater, according to word received here by his wife. Private Hall, who had been stationed in England until his transfer to France July 15, was wounded shortly before Aug. 10 as the letter received by his wife was written on that date.

John O. Hall was born May 18, 1916 to Forest and Lorene Quackenbush Hall. He died Nov. 18, 1999 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Private Hall was the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
