Virgil L. Gray was born Aug. 5, 1920 to Stoffer Jans and Ella Dorothy Jansen Gray. He died Dec. 13, 1944 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Sgt. Gray was KIA in Bergstein, Germany while serving with the U.S. Army, Co. I, 8th Div., 13th Infantry in World War II.
