Ralph Wendell Graham was born Oct. 15, 1912 to Samuel Ray and Bessie Crosby Graham. He died Feb. 7, 1989 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Sgt. Graham served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 223rd Anti-Aircraft Search Light Battalion and the 3520th Ordnance Medium Automotive Maintenance Co. in the Pacific Theatre.

Ralph W. Graham, 76, Webster City, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Hamilton County Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. He had been in ill health for 1-1/2 years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, Rev. Vernon Sorensen officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery with graveside flag folding services conducted by American Legion Post 191. Visitation at Foster’s is after 5 p.m. today until time of service.
Ralph Wendell Graham, son of Samuel Ray and Bessie Crosby Graham, was born Oct. 15, 1912, on a farm southwest of Webster City. He attended rural schools, and graduated from Webster City High School in 1929. He attended junior college in Webster City, then worked for several implement dealers in town, before entering the Army in 1942. He served in the Pacific Theatre, and was discharged in 1946. He married Cleo Camilla Taylor on Aug. 22, 1946, at the Methodist Church parsonage in Webster City. For the past 40 years, the couple farmed on the Graham family farm where Mr. Graham was born.
He is survived by his wife Cleo, Webster City, three brothers, Howard Graham, San Benito, Texas; Leslie Graham, Webster City; and Gale Graham , Stratford; a sister Wilma (Mrs. Harold) Taylor, Webster City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, and Acacia Lodge 176.
