Charles Wesley Graffunder was born Dec. 20, 1912 to Julius F. and Alma Graffunder. He died May 7, 1968 and is buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Helena, MT.
Sgt. Graffunder served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the First Special Service Force 474th Infantry Regiment in the European theater. He was awarded the Silver and Bronze stars.
