David Donald Gordon was born Sept. 16, 1926 to Steven William and Eve Mae Butrum Gordon. He died Jan. 31, 2005.
Petty Officer Gordon served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
David D. Gordon, 78, of Harrison Township, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, in Mount Clemens General Hospital. He was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Fort Ripley, Minn.
Mr. Gordon was employed with The Macomb Daily newspaper as a supervisor of the composing room for 45 years. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he married Shirley Mitchell on Aug. 6, 1947, in Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Jennifer Gordon of Harrison Township; and sister, Helen Harris. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Gordon, in 1967; and parents, Stephen and Eva May (nee Butrum) Gordon.
Arrangements were directed by Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, Mount Clemens.
