Riceville—Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gooder have received word from their son, First Lt. Dale Gooder, that he is now in Belgium. He has been in foreign service for the last year and for a time was in England and France.

Dale Gene Gooder was born Aug. 21, 1917 to Eugene and Clara Volbrecht Gooder. He died June 21, 1999 and is buried in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
Lt. Col. Gooder served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
