Wilbur John Glidden, Jr. was born Aug. 10, 1922 to Wilbur J. (Sr.) and Stella Yelland Glidden. He died Nov. 10, 1991.

Wilbur served with the U.S. Navy in World War II aboard the USS Cahaba (AO-82) and LST 171.
