Cpl. Harlan F. Gillman

 

 

 

 

Herbert C. Gillman was born Jan. 4, 1920 to Tony and Ethel M. Klontz Gillman.

Herb and his two brothers, Harlan and Charles, all joined the U.S. Army and served with the 133rd Infantry, Co. B of the 34th “Red Bull” Division. They all came home wounded.

Capt. Herb Gillman was awarded the Purple Heart, Distinguished Service Cross, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Military Valor Cross (Italy), and EAME Medal with one Bronze Star.

Cpl. Harlan F. Gillman was born July 16, 1915. He died Apr. 7, 2006 and is buried in the Garden of Memories, Waterloo, IA.

Pfc. Charles H. Gillman was born July 16, 1921. He died Apr. 1, 2001 and is buried in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls, IA.
