Everett Weston Gillman was born Dec. 13, 1925 to Fred G. and Sadie Phillips Gilman. He died Oct. 16, 2011 in Pleasanton, CA.
Everett served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

EVERETT W. GILLMAN, 75, a 35-year Pleasanton resident, died Tuesday, October 16, 2001, after a short illness. Mr. Gillman was born in Webster City, Iowa, and moved to California with his family in 1954. He worked for the Gates Rubber Company for 30 years and retired in 1988. After his retirement, he enjoyed creating beautiful stained glass windows for friends and relatives and constructing many "custom" birdhouses for his yard. He was an avid golfer and marshalled at the Canyon Lakes Golf Course. Mr. Gillman served as past Big Sir for the SIRS and was a member of the Masons. He was a veteran of WWII. Mr. Gillman is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosemary of Pleasanton; son, Kyle of Pleasanton daughter Kim Marchese and son-in-law, Michael of Oakley; one sister, Dorothy Proctor of Lewis, Iowa. Mr. Gillman is also survived by grandchildren Denys Thede of San Francisco and Ryan and Collin of Oakley. He was preceded in death by a daughter and son and two brothers. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 4, at 2 p.m. at the Valley Community Church in Pleasanton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made in Everett Gillman's name to the charity of one's choice. The Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.
