Donald Warren Gilbert was born Sept. 8, 1921 to Luman Silas and Hilda Evelyn Nativg Gilbert. He died Aug. 17, 1944 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
Lt. Gilbert served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 450th Bomb Group and was KIA over the Ploesti oil fields of Rumania.
