John Getting was born Feb. 11, 1920 to Fred and Mattie Riebkes Getting. He died Jan. 14, 1984 and is buried in Northlawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls, IA.
Sgt. Getting served with the U.S. Army, 24th Division signal corps unit in the Southwest Pacific during World War II.
