John Everett German was born May 24, 1920 to Mace Albert and Doris Edna Jennings German. He died July 26, 1974 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.
John served with the U.S. Marine Corps, 1st Marine Division in World War II. He fought on Peleliu, Vella LaVella and the Solomon Islands. He was a rifle and pistol sharpshooter.
