Floyd Thomas George was born Sept. 12, 1912 to Henry Stoner and Sylvia D. Maudlin George. He died Dec. 13, 1998 and is buried in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
Sgt. George served with the U.S. Army in World War II, most of the time in the Pacific Theater.
b. September 13, 1912, Pella, Marion co., Iowa. Moved with his parents at age two to a farm in Webster Co., P.O. Stratford, Iowa. Floyd graduated from high school there in 1930. He traveled most of the United States as a portrait salesman and military photographer until entering the Army in July of 1943 discharged two and a half years later in January of 1946, having served most of the time in the Pacific Theater.
