Edward John Fry, Jr. was born Dec. 3, 1922 to Edward John (Sr.) and Emma Marie Zimmer Fry. He died Oct. 21, 1943 and is buried in Garrison Cemetery, Garrison, IA.
Cpl. Fry served with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry, 34th Infantry Division in World War II. He was KIA in Italy. He had also been wounded during the African campaign. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
