Warren G. Forslund was born Apr. 13, 1923 to Richard A. and Ida V. Johnson Forslund. He died Aug. 8, 2015.

Lt. Forslund served in the Pacific Theater in World War II with the U.S. Navy Seabees.

Memorial Services will be held at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1465 Victoria St. N., St. Paul, MN, 55117, on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ruth Sorenson-Prokosch officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Inurnment will be at a later date at Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hannaford, ND, and Sabylund Cemetery in Lund, WI. Arrangements are entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Chisholm, MN. Warren G. Forslund, age 92, of Cook, MN, formerly of Arden Hills, MN, died Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Cook Community Nursing Home. He was born April 13, 1923, in McVille, ND, to Richard A. and Ida V. (Johnson) Forslund. He was raised in Hammond, MN, and Jewell, IA. Warren was a Navy Seabee's Veteran of WWII, having served in the Pacific Theater. He received his Civil Engineering Degree from Iowa State College in Ames in 1946. Warren was united in marriage to Lucille Larson on October 4, 1953, in Hannaford, ND. He worked as a Civil Engineer in the Scientific Apparatus Department at the University of Minnesota, and was a longtime resident of Arden Hills on Lake Johanna. Warren and his wife enjoyed spending time at their Bell Harbor property on the North Shore. Survivors include one niece and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, on 12/10/2008; brother, Dean; and sister, Mary Sogard.
