Hugh G. Ford was born Mar. 14, 1923 to Fred H. and Margaret Nicol Ford. He died Oct. 12, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 7, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida Grove, IA.
Lt. Ford served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 311th Troop Carrier Squadron and was reported MIA/KIA/FOD in flight near Bonin Islands, North Pacific Ocean while in the service of his country.
