Berwyn C. Ford was born Sept. 7, 1913 to Marvin C. and Grace B. Akin Ford. He died Nov. 18, 1944 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Oak Hill Cemetery, Central City, IA.
Sgt. Ford served in World War II with the U.S. Army Headquarters Company, 32nd Infantry Division and died in the service of his country and was awarded the Purple Heart.
