George Murray Follett was born Nov. 26, 1921 to Louis and Julia Mae Sumpter Follett. He died Dec. 21, 2001 and has a cenotaph in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Chief Petty Officer Follett served in World War II with the U.S. Navy at the Submarine Bases in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and New London, Connecticut.
