Robert John Fober was born Aug. 8, 1927 to Wesley B. and Inez Emma Destival Fober. He died Feb. 17, 1975 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock, IA.
Petty Officer Fober served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Muliphen (AKA-161, the Fall River (CA-131) and in Japan.
