Lieut. Erickson of Marine Corps Is on Guadalcanal
Another Sioux Cityan in the thick of the battle raging on Guadalcanal Island is Lieut. Glenn A. Erickson whose whereabouts was revealed in a letter to his wife, the former Maxine Williams who resides at 3903 Orleans Avenue. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. A. Erickson, 1922 W. Horne Street.
Lieut. Erickson, a member of the Marine Signal Corps, was graduated from Central High School here and State Teachers College at Wayne, Nebraska. Before enlisting in the Marine Corps he was school superintendent at Dawson, Nebraska and had taught at Allen, Nebraska.
