John Walden Emerick was born Mar. 12, 1915 to John C. and Jessie Hazel Todd Emerick. He died Dec. 6, 1943 (lost at sea) and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Petty Officer Emerick served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Corvina (SS-226) when it was sunk just south of Truk, probably by Japanese submarine I-176. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
