Dr. Coburn Ellis, War Vet, Opens An Office.

Opening of an office in Webster City for general medical practice and surgery was announced Monday by Dr. Coburn Ellis, war veteran and former Sweet Springs, Mo., practicing physician.

Just out of the army after two years and a half in the European theater, Dr. Ellis has established his office in quarters in the Woolworth building and will move his family here when living accommodations are available.

Prior to the war Dr. Ellis practiced for seven years at Sweet Springs, Mo. Son and grandson of practicing physicians, Dr. Ellis was graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebr., and the University of Nebraska medical college at Omaha.

Mrs. Ellis and son, Frank, at present are staying with her parents at Belle Plaine.

Coburn Hudson Ellis was born Apr. 24, 1904 to Frank B. and Addie D. Hudson Ellis. He died Oct. 25, 1959 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. He has a cenotaph in Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, MO. Dr. Ellis died as a result of injuries from a car accident near Higginsville, MO.

Dr. Coburn served with the U.S. Army in World War II in the European Theater.
