Samuel Floyd Elliott was born Aug. 21, 1925 to Floyd Robert and Anna Carol Ellison Elliott. He died Jan. 20, 1945 and has a cenotaph at Hazel Green Cemetery, Ackley, IA.
Sgt. Elliott served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 828th Bombardment Squadron, 485th Bomber Group and died when his B-24 was shot down on a raid over Linz, Austria and went down in the Adriatic Sea.
